BOOK DISCUSSION GROUPS FOR 2011-12


The Evening Book Discussion Group will meet at the Library at 7:15PM (note new time) on the following Mondays (September through June). The group does not meet in December, January, February or March.

A limited number of copies of each of the books to be discussed will be available at the Library's Circulation Desk during the month prior to the meetings.

LIBRARY RESOURCES

The Baldwin Library has a collection of over 100,000 books. The Online Catalog offers you keyword, author, title and subject access to our collection as well as to the collections of other Nassau Library System members. Instruction in using the catalog is available from the Library staff at the Reference Desk.

The Library gives you access to over 200 magazines, daily and weekly newspapers. You can find out which ones we subscribe to by consulting the Baldwin Public Library Periodicals Guide at the Reference Desk. The Library subscribes to several computerized periodical databases such as ProQuest and Gale/InfoTrac.

Other library resources include dvds, videotapes (including family, how-to, classics and recent releases), downloadable audiobooks and ebooks, video games and compact discs.

Computers are available for adults, teens and children, including early literacy computers for children age 2 to Kindergarten.
