Baldwin Public Library Community Calendar 9 May 2009, Saturday BIG SWEEP with Sanitation District #2 Time: 7:30am Location: Baldwin Sanitary District No. 2, 2080 Grand Avenue, Baldwin The Big Sweep, is an annual event where residents pitch in to do "spring cleaning," to make Grand Avenue and other major roadways sparkle for the Memorial Day Parade. This year Sanitary District No. 2 and the South Hempstead Civic Association will co-sponsor "The Big Sweep" on May 9th. The rain date is May 16th. Please bring a broom and/or rake and shovel. Garbage bags will be supplied. Local merchants will also donate materials and refreshments. This is a great event for groups and local students looking for community service credit.
